Steve Cross is an Alaskan Artist and Author that Coddiwomples the wilds to create rare and unusual artworks.
Each unique artwork unfolds a story by the ingredients it contains. To work in mountainous environments and arctic conditions, Cross devised a technique of mixing Rum and Whiskey with fireweed honey to trap glacier silts and minerals. During his travels indigenous materials are collected and infused, including: gold, gemstones, octopus ink, marine biology, botanicals, fish bone, antler, meteorites, fluorescent minerals, scat, fossils and more.
